Mantle of the Firstborn

“God of Wonders” by Meghan Williams, Dyed4you Art

John 5:19 (VOICE) Jesus: The truth is that the Son does nothing on His own; all these actions are led by the Father. The Son watches the Father closely and then mimics the work of the Father.

My child, you are one that faithfully follows in My footsteps. As a child who delights in mimicking the actions of their father, you have also delighted in closely watching and keeping My ways. It fills My heart with such joy to see that you love the things that I love and have matured into My image and likeness as a result. You dwell in childlike faith, trust, and innocence, so much so that you often do not see just how much of Me there is in you. In you, child, I am well pleased.

You have come to a new level, the day of your inheritance. Today, I am calling you to transition into a new role and the fullness of your anointing. Receive the mantle and blessing of the firstborn, recognizing that the Spirit imparted to you is the same that dwelled within My Messiah, My firstborn son. Just as He ministered to the newborn and babes in the faith, I call you to do the same. As you reach out to nurture the young, My Spirit will bring to remembrance the early days of your faith. The Spirit will show you how to reflect My patience and mercy. You will have the wisdom to bring correction that is balanced with the fruit of gentleness. You will teach others what I have taught you, and you will impart the same comfort that I have imparted to you. Even more, you will set many hearts aflame by sharing the same passionate love for My Word as I have shared it with you.

Firstborn children do as their parents do and their behavior is a model for the younger members of the house to follow. So it is the same in My household. While I am making you aware of the greater responsibility that now rests upon your shoulders, never forget that your Father always walks with you. Continue to hold my hand and operate in that childlike faith, trust, and innocence. Shine with the humility and a teachable heart that pleases Me so. There is no burden on you to lead or make anything happen. As you continue to abide in My Presence, an atmosphere of miracles and My glorious power will surround you and demonstrate to the world that you are my very own.

Reign of the Eternal

“Forever Bloom” – by Meghan Williams, Dyed4you Art

1 John 4:13 (VOICE) How can we be sure that He truly lives in us and that we truly live in Him? By one fact: He has given us His Spirit.

In a vision, I saw the Father shaking a sunflower over His child. Water droplets fell from the sunflower and upon the childlike rain. I sensed that the essence of the sunflower was transferred into the water. Therefore, it was clear that the essence of the sunflower would saturate the child that the Father was sprinkling.

Symbolically, sunflowers allude to “son-flowers,” those who are growing up into fullness in the Spirit of Christ. In my vision, the sunflower in the Father’s hand was symbolic of Christ, His firstborn son. Christ is God’s chosen mediator of the new covenant. Those who are in Christ have been sprinkled with his blood, the blood of the covenant (Exodus 24:8, Hebrews 12:22-24). The blood of Christ brings absolutely atonement—or, one could say, it brings at-one-ment; it unites us forever with God. Yet the covenant also gives us access to the outpouring of Christ’s Spirit (which is often symbolized as rain or oil). The Holy Spirit is our guarantee of unity with the Creator, the very force that connects us to God.

The vision of the sunflower immediately reminded me of a pun that God often speaks over me, “I’m going to rain on your head.” It is a line from a movie, but when He says it, it is layered with spiritual life, significance, and a fiery love. It doubles in meaning as, “I’m going to reign on your head.” When God speaks this phrase over me, He is calling to mind the irrevocable words of His covenant and reminding me of my eternal bond to Him.

Rain held great importance during biblical times. As an agriculture society, they were very aware that their lives depended upon God sending the rain in its due season—the former and latter rains that would water the land. Rain was a sign of the blessings of the covenant, a provision in the marriage agreement between God and Israel. As Israel remained faithful to the covenant, God’s covenant blessings would flow to sustain them.

With the coming of Christ, the outpouring of the Spirit was connected to the “former and latter rains.” I can say without a doubt how essential the rain—or reign of the Holy Spirit has been in my life. The Holy Spirit waters my soul with words of truth from the lips of my savior. Through the Spirit, Christ reminds me that I am His and He is mine. Regardless of whether I feel connected to Him or not at any given moment, He isn’t going anywhere.  I’m never lost, even if I may momentarily feel that way in the chaos of life. God’s covenant promises to me are rock solid.

Even more, because I follow Christ and obey His voice, the blessings of the covenant are ever flowing to sustain me. When I dig deep into the Spirit, do not lack anything that I need. I am completely saturated in the love, character, and dynamis power of Christ. He is infused into my DNA! As Christ renews my mind, my ways and my thoughts are transformed until they reflect His. As Paul states in 1 Corinthians 2:16, I have the very mind of Christ.

So when God is reminding me that He is raining or reign upon me, truly it means that, as I embrace the rule of His Spirit in my life, He truly is reigning through me. Like a sunflower that soaks up the sun and the rain, God’s Word and God’s way holds everything I need to navigate this world. My greatest desire is to yield to the Spirit in my everyday life and allow Him to work His will through me—on earth as it is in heaven.

Deuteronomy 11:13-14 (NKJV) ‘And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the LORD your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.

Psalm 133:1-3 (NIV) How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.

Draw Upon Your Inheritance

James 1:17 (TPT) Every gift God freely gives us is good and perfect, streaming down from the Father of lights, who shines from the heavens with no hidden shadow or darkness and is never subject to change.

My children, there is a day that comes when I call each of you to put away the ways of childhood and to step into full maturity and your inheritance as sons of God. As My sons, I have provided the finest robes for you—My very own robes. Light is My garment and so, you too will be arrayed in the light of My glory, My very nature. Clothed as My royal heirs, walk the land as My Firstborn Son walked. Shine as the light of the world, and utterly drive out the darkness that is before you.

Every earthly father is called to pour all that he is and all that he knows into his children so that they will be equipped to build upon his legacy. Although I exist without limits, as your Heavenly Father I do no less for My children. I pour out My Spirit—as much of Myself as you are willing to contain—that you may be fully equipped to be about My business in the earth. I withhold no good gift from My children, therefore, I offer you the very best of who I Am. Simply, ask, beloved, ask.

Each day that you arise, just as you would clothe yourself in earthly garments, be intentional and seek revelation for how I have clothed you by My Spirit. Ask Me to equip you for the days ahead. As you encounter obstacles, ask Me for exactly what you need. By constantly asking, you will draw upon the multi-faceted anointing of the Holy Spirit which abides in you. The more frequently you ask with a heart to receive, the stronger and more natural the anointing will flow through you. Allow Me to refine and purify your faith so that the flow will be unhindered and untainted. As you draw upon My Spirit, you will walk as children of the day, able to see by the Light of My Spirit and fully able to navigate any situation that comes your way. Joyfully draw upon your inheritance, My children, and let the fullness of Christ be revealed in you.

Romans 8:19 (VOICE) For all of creation is waiting, yearning for the time when the children of God will be revealed.
