The Name of the Lord

“Refuse to Be Moved” by Meghan Williams, Dyed4you Art

Proverbs 18:10 (AMP) The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous runs to it and is safe and set on high [far above evil].

Occasionally, there can be times of spiritual warfare where fear and anxiety can plague a believer; keeping the enemy at bay often requires persistence and a commitment to having the mind of Christ. I remember in one particular season, the battle was even more difficult because I could not always stop in the middle of what I was doing to pray, discern, and address every fear and shift my thought life. One night, I went to bed physically exhausted—both from a long day of work and the nagging grip of anxiety that had plagued me all day. Yet in my exhaustion, I found myself wielding a powerful weapon against that anxiety—the Name of the Lord.

As I lay in bed, one fear after another was thrown at me. As each matter came up, I found myself spontaneously answering with one of the names of the Lord; this wasn’t premeditated or intentional on my part but inspired by the Spirit. If finances were a concern, then YHVH Jireh would provide. For every part of my body that was hurting and tempting me to fear sickness and disease, YHVH Rapha had the power to heal it. For every situation that seemed difficult to navigate, YHVH Ori would light my path and YHVH Rohi would shepherd and guide my every step. And even though I didn’t know how long this season of warfare would last against fear and anxiety, it truly didn’t matter; the battle had already been won by YHVH Tzva’ot, the Lord of Hosts.

As each name came to mind, I could see each matter bowing to the sovereignty of my God! I wasn’t singing or shouting or rebuking the enemy, but simply delighting in the powerful names of my God. I had confidence that His power completely trumped the enemy’s power. And my soul was filled with joy to see, in a new way, how God completely covered every need I had. Ultimately, it was YHVH Shalom that lulled me into a place of deep peace and rest; I had run to Him and was safe from all evil.

Truly, this is the reason why we call upon the name of the Lord. By coming into agreement with who YHVH is, we resist agreeing with the voice of fear and handing our power and authority over to the enemy. Our focus shifts to Him who is seated upon the throne that is above every throne. We are praising and boasting in our God, and choosing to name Him as the answer to every problem. And truly He is the answer to our every problem. Our God is just that big!

Draw Upon My Spirit of Counsel

“Faithful Victory” – by Meghan Williams, Dyed4you Art

Isaiah 11:2 (VOICE) And on this child from David’s line, the Spirit of the Eternal One will alight and rest. By the Spirit of wisdom and discernment He will shine like the dew. By the Spirit of counsel and strength He will judge fairly and act courageously. By the Spirit of knowledge and reverence of the Eternal One….

Beloved, victory is always in your hands because I am always with you. As a carrier of My Presence, I have sent you into this world to accomplish My Kingdom purposes. And those whom I send, I abundantly equip that they may succeed.

I have imparted My Spirit of Counsel to you. Just as a king would seek wise advice before waging war, I encourage you to make every effort to seek My voice in the moments you need strategy. My Spirit of Counsel is gentle and supportive, like the presence of a trusted friend. Just as you would not have an important conversation in the midst of a crowd, so you will need to draw aside into the secret place in order to draw upon My Spirit within you.

Remember, I do not expect you to walk out your commission alone. Indeed, I am here to support you. I have already ordained the provision you need for every stage of My plans for you. Therefore, lean upon Me. Walk with Me. We will accomplish much more together than you could ever do alone.

Proverbs 20:18 (ESV) Plans are established by counsel; by wise guidance wage war.

1 Samuel 18:14 (AMPC)  David acted wisely in all his ways and succeeded, and the Lord was with him.

Explore With Me

Isaiah 45:3 (VOICE) I will give you hidden treasures and wealth tucked away in secret places; I will reveal them to you. Then you will know that I am the Eternal, the God of Israel, who calls you by name.

Beloved, I have so much more for you – things below the surface, outside your immediate natural understanding – will you go deep with Me? Will you allow Me to give you revelation? Will you choose to take the time – make the time – for us to be together?

Seek Me as you would immeasurable riches, for I AM more worthy and considerably more satisfying than such. Explore with Me. Together let us plumb the depths of My mysteries that I may share with you and teach you as I have promised.

Proverbs 3:13-15 (ESV) Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her.

Rest In My Strength

2 Corinthians 12:9 (AMP) but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me.

Beloved, I am your strength. I am the very power that sustains your life. My ability to sustain you is much more than physical, and it is always available for you to draw on. However, never is My keeping power more apparent than in times when you feel the weakest. Yes, times of trial can be humbling. Through them, you learn to draw on My strength day to day, and moment to moment when necessary. But I do not wish for you lose sight of this truth, for this is who I am to all the days of your life.

Therefore, resist the urge to hide from Me during the day of your trouble. I can handle your questions, your tears, your doubts, and even your anger. Instead of running away from Me, run towards My loving embrace. I am your strong tower, your place of refuge. Together we will face every situation and thought that threatens to overcome you.

As you seek the shelter of My wings, I will illuminate the heart of the Scriptures to you. You will know peace even in the face of difficulty and uncertain times. I give peace not as the world gives it; My peace reminds you of the depth of My care for you—it is unending. It was never My intention that you face this world alone, struggling from day to day to find your way. All things are in My hand and I desire that you not only survive but thrive. It is My good pleasure and duty to be your comfort, provision, wisdom, vision, and hope. In the day of your trouble, rest in this truth, beloved; it will carry you through.

Remember, the stormy seas will calm. The onslaught of men will abate. The dawn will finally come. Good times will return to you, even though they may seem out of sight in this moment. And when they do come, be certain to take My perfect peace with you. Rest in My strength always, knowing that the one who cares for you will always keep you.

Proverbs 18:10 (NKJV) The name of the LORD [is] a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.

John 14:27 (NKJV) “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

1 Peter 5:7 (TPT) Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you.

Look for Me

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NKJV) He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

Look for Me, beloved. Look for Me to fulfill My Word in great ways and in small. Seek Me continually that I might shine revelation upon My Word, and illuminate events both past and present to bring them into perspective. Yet even as you seek Me, do so with a humble heart understanding that both the plan for your life and the plan for the whole of creation is far beyond what you are capable of fathoming. I Am the Infinite and Eternal Creator, able to fulfill My Word again and again and at new dimensions. I do all things well, and I do them in truth and in harmony.

As I release glimpses of My thoughts and designs to My children, they rightfully evoke reverential awe. Walk in that awe, beloved, for the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. Resist the urge to become discouraged when the fulfillment of My Word and My promises do not seem to fit your understanding. Instead, dwell in childlike trust and wonder, allowing Me to expand the limitations of your mind and your perception. Know that I delight to draw you close in order to give you pieces of My plan. With revelation I bring instruction that you may walk fully in your role in this grand story that I have penned. When you look for Me at work in the midst of My design, know with certainty that you will find Me.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

Prepared for Such a Time as This

Vision 11/07/2017: I saw a white and tan-speckled owl sitting on a stool in a movie studio. A makeup artist was sitting in front of the owl with a brush in her hand as though she were painting the owl. I was amazed at how this live bird was in the studio, sitting still and allowing the artist to paint it! It reminded me of clips I have watched in Jim Henson’s Creature Shop as they create different types of muppets. But it also reminded me of how a makeup artist prepares an actor for their role.

As I pondered this vision several things came to me. In recent months, the Lord has been speaking to me about the times ahead. His glory is set to return to the earth in magnificent ways. The Lord has been preparing His people to steward His glory through rigorous “dress rehearsals”. Long have we practiced what we’ve learned from Him, individually and corporately. In fact, many individuals have rehearsed God’s Word and ways in their hearts in seasons of hiddenness.

Yet the time is approaching for the revealing of the sons of God (Romans 8:19). These manifested sons and daughters will soon be called to step into the spotlight of the “world stage”. When we do, we will be called to walk in Yeshua’s role in a sense. We will each walk as Yeshua walked but in a double portion of His Spirit.

Much of the preparation for this important role is done for us. Christ is the one who dresses us and beautifies us. He has also promised to fill our mouths with His Word when we need it (Luke 12:12); Christ has given us the “script” so to speak. As we rest in Him, it is the anointing of His Spirit that truly does the work and equips us for our roles.

God’s Government in California: Man Your Stations!

Vision 11/04/2017: I saw a huge wall of water coming to hit an entire city. This did not feel at all like a bad thing; in fact, I knew this wave represented a great move of God. It was massive and not so much a tidal wave as a wall of water that I knew would come and completely sweep through the city. I did not sense any destruction in this.

I prayed and asked the Lord what this symbolized. He said, “Region. California. On the brink of collapse. Man your stations.

In my spiritual language “collapse” means to humble. It is the concept of the Hebrew letter dalet, which symbolizes a poor and humble man, a man in need. It is not so much about literal financial bankruptcy as it is God bankrupting the enemy of his power. Anyone who trusts in the things of the world instead of in God will discover their deep need of God once they see who the true source of all life and complete satisfaction comes from.
