Bearing the Fruit of Divine Love

“Grow In Love” by Meghan Williams, Dyed4you Art

I once had a dream where the whole world was united in divine love. That love began in our hearts as a golden light radiating throughout our bodies. As that love moved outside our bodies, it became like a fabric that interconnected us. I felt complete oneness with all people, all of creation, and God.

As the dream progressed, my youngest sister, Emme, lost something precious to her. As I asked her what she was looking for, my father, who was standing at a distance, criticized Emme for her constant irresponsibility. Instead of responding to him, I had an inner knowing that his words were not beneficial and that it rather would be more helpful to help Emme focus on a solution.

Simply Shine

“Shine Unafraid” by Meghan Williams, Dyed4you Art

Beloved, in the midst of darkness, resist the temptation to believe that you are powerless. I have not sent you into the world unequipped and unprotected. In fact, you are a mighty one in Me, capable of overcoming any obstacle that stands in your way. The power that dwells within you is My light, and that light is love.

The foolish seek and exalt earthly forms of power. They accumulate wealth, knowledge, cunning, the favor of men, or physical might. Yet all earthly power pales in comparison to the power of love. Just as water has the ability to erode rock until it shatters and crumbles, so too can the light of love within you overcome the darkness. I urge you not to underestimate what resides within you.

In the face of insurmountable odds, unleash My love. Allow your joy to lift heavy circumstances. Watch as your peace settles the greatest of storms. Your patience, kindness, and goodness has the ability to soften hardened hearts. Your gentleness will heal the broken spirit. The fruit of love that you bear by My Spirit will always shift the atmosphere, so hold nothing back.

There’s no need for you to fight the darkness, beloved. You don’t have to kick, scream, or struggle. Remember that the very nature of light simply makes no room for darkness! So I call you to simply be, simply love—simply shine.

Galatians 5:22–23 (TPT) But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.

Matthew 5:14-16 (TPT) And you, beloved, are the light of the world. A city built on a hilltop cannot be hidden. Similarly it would be silly to light a lamp and then hide it under a bowl. When someone lights a lamp, she puts it on a table or a desk or a chair, and the light illumines the entire house. You are like that illuminating light. Let your light shine everywhere you go, that you may illumine creation, so men and women everywhere may see your good actions, may see creation at its fullest, may see your devotion to Me, and may turn and praise your Father in heaven because of it.

In the Form of Christ

“One Body (Unity in Christ)” by Meghan Williams of Dyed4you Art

{vision} I saw different American Olympic athletes posing as if for a photo shoot meant to display their new team uniforms. What stood out to me was that, although the athletes had different types of uniforms based on their sport, all of the uniforms used the same set of colors. (Royal blue was the predominant color.) The consistency of the color is what would make it clear to others that they were all on the same team.

As I pressed in for the download for this vision, I was led to look up the definition of the word uniform. As a noun, the Concise Oxford English Dictionary defines uniform as “the distinctive clothing worn by members of the same organization or body or by children attending certain schools.” Looking at the etymology of the word, uniform is derived from the latin uniformis, uni- meaningone; having or consisting of oneand form meaning “body, shape, or configuration.” Immediately, I thought of the fact that humans are made in the image or “form” of God.

Deuteronomy 6:4 highlights an important aspect of God’s nature; it tells us that “The LORD is our God, the LORD is one.” In this verse, the word for one in Hebrew is echad. Echad has a variety of nuances, including uniqueness, singularity, and compound unity. Certainly, the Body of Christ is meant to express echad with many members acting together as one. Though each of us has a unique purpose and function in the Body, we all work towards a common goal—that upward call of God in Christ (Philippians 3:14).

Our unity is akin to the unity among Olympic athletes; though they each may compete in different sports, an individual’s actions will ultimately reflect upon their entire team as well as their nation. Olympic athletes represent a nation’s best as far as prowess in their sport. They train hard and are proud to compete on behalf of their country. I also imagine they must also be proud to wear their uniforms, the very symbol of their role as an Olympic athlete.

It is much the same for those of us who follow the call of Christ. For by the Spirit, we train hard to crucify our flesh and become mighty athletes of the Spirit. We are proud to walk the earth and represent the Kingdom of Heaven. Most of all, we display our unity by putting on Christ. When clothed with love, anyone who encounters us knows which team we are proudly playing for.

Galatians 3:27 (NLT) And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.

Galatians 5:22-23 (TPT) But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.

John 13:35 (NKJV) By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

Catch the Rhythm

“Heartbeat of Heaven” by Meghan Williams, Dyed4you Art

Beloved, there can be a fine line between living your life in a state of striving and operating from a place of rest. The difference between striving and rest comes when you try to create a rhythm in life as opposed to quieting yourself and simply finding it. I created all life to exist in the flow and rhythm of my Spirit. From the waters of creation, My Spirit has guided all things to flow according to My will. It knows My perfect pattern and plan by which all life can flourish and prosper.

Just as a drummer must hold the rhythm of a song in his or her heart and mind to execute it, so you must press in for the rhythm of my Spirit to live by it. My Spirit stands ready to usher you into your place of rest and abundant life in Me. Just as it was in the garden, I long to walk with you and guide you through every moment, day, and season of your life.

Beloved, will you draw near and grasp ahold of what I offer you? Will you listen for the sound of My Presence moving through the garden of your heart each day? Let your spiritual ears be opened, that you might catch the rhythm of My Spirit and live by it.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV) There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens….

Galatians 5:25 (VOICE) Now since we have chosen to walk with the Spirit, let’s keep each step in perfect sync with God’s Spirit.

Matthew 11:29-30 (NIV) Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
