Forever Bloom” – by Meghan Williams, Dyed4you Art

Beloved of the Lord, I hear the Lord saying that you are entering a season where He’s teaching you how to bask in His eternal light and love. His light and love towards you are ever-present, never wavering or shifting in intensity. “Always,” the Lord says. “My love for you endures forever.”

Life’s changing circumstances cannot change God’s heart and intentions towards you; situations can only tempt you to alter your perception of God and His presence in your life. But it’s time for that to change. God is building a new foundation for you, a firm foundation set upon His enduring love.

You are like a precious flower in God’s garden, soaking up the sun’s rays (the light of the Eternal Son). The Gardener’s hands gently tend to you each day. He is ever so gentle.

Our faithful Gardener wants you to know how near He is and how involved He is in every detail of your life. Absolutely nothing about you or your circumstances escapes His notice. God isn’t lax in responding to your needs, nor is He indifferent. He will answer you when you call. In fact, before you even have a need and before you can voice a request, His response is on the way. Before you call, He will answer; while you are yet speaking, He will hear (Isaiah 65:24).

However, Spirit calls you to be sensitive to His answers and direction; while God may seem silent at times, it may be because His answers to you are not what you expect or may fly in the face of your human understanding. For His ways are not our ways, nor are His thoughts our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8). Yet you can be confident that God’s response and plans for your life are always filled with His goodness. He is faithful and unchanging.

Therefore, Spirit encourages you, beloved, to expect the good. Seek God’s goodness, particularly in situations that don’t seem “good” and where your first instinct is to resist or war against them. There will be some situations in life where God’s goodness is hidden, just as the most precious treasures are hidden. Yet in these situations, there is great reward, the Lord says. The Gardener will use these times to grow you. The key to finding the treasure—God’s presence, peace, and goodness—in those circumstances will be non-resistance.

Instead of immediately resisting challenging circumstances or launching into warfare mode, take a moment to pause and press into the spirit. Take inventory. Remember what you know about God and what you’ve experienced of His faithfulness in your life. Seek Spirit’s direction, no matter how subtle His nudges or responses may be. Above all, remember that no matter what, at all times, God is love, and God is always good. Always.

Psalm 136:1-3 (NIV) Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures forever.
